Trashcan Sinatras Return with Optimistic Scottish Soul, Expanded New Release "In the Music"
After two decades worth of critically-acclaimed releases on both sides of the Atlantic, the Trashcan Sinatras bring their signature Scottish Soul stateside once again with the April 27th release of In the Music. The U.S. version of the album features ten new studio recordings as well as eight previously unavailable live bonus acoustic tracks, recorded during the band’s November UK tour.
Guitarist Paul Livingston notes "Recording this album was the most fun and easiest experience we've had as a band and I think that definitely comes across when you hear it." Adds guitarist John Douglas, "We want the record to make hips sway, toes tap, heads nod and hearts open. We think the themes are universal."
Lead single, "People," immediately sets the melodic, dreamy tone of the much respected musicians' new record. Frank Reader's vocals, which Spinner.com claims would "clear up the cloudiest Caledonian sky," anchor the album opener, while the fully expanded release showcases both the Trashcan Sinatras' expert songwriting craft and experienced live musicianship.
